SITE ASSESSMENT

Your feasibility study begins with a site assessment. We will review all components of your existing facility or, in the case of a new project, your site.

In the case of municipal or educational facilities we may determine the needs of your facility through key person interviews, facility operational reviews, public surveys and public meetings. If your project is a new facility, we may determine community needs by holding public meetings, completing public surveys and reviewing existing community recreation amenities and facilities. During the process, Aquatic Facility Design will examine the services and facilities that exist in neighboring communities as well.

Residential studies are customized to the needs of the individual client.

At the completion of your feasibility study, you’ll receive detailed concept drawings for your renovation or new construction project. These concepts are an invaluable visual reference for the reader and decision maker. Budgetary projections are provided for the decision maker as well.

FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR AN EXISTING COMMERCIAL FACILITY

Our team of professionals will thoroughly document your existing facility’s features and make recommendations for improvements based upon your desired outcome. Your feasibility study may include:

We will observe your filtration equipment while the pool is in operation. By seeing these in action, we can determine how efficient your existing equipment is and we can project life expectancy.

If needed, we will perform core borings of the shell structure. With a core boring, we can identify shell damage, and, if present, determine its extent. This allows us to accurately gage the condition of the concrete. Once we review all the information revealed through the core borings, we can then determine if your existing shell can be reused in the renovation. Additionally, we may pressure-test existing plumbing lines to assess the integrity of your pool’s recirculation system.

In the case of a bathhouse, the site assessment includes examining the structure for code compliance and ADA accessibility. The structure will be accessed to determine if the space meets standards for fixture counts and amenities and if it serves the overall needs of the facility.
